October 17, 2018 - G.W. Egbert IV Claims 2018 STLMS Championship; Robbie Starnes Takes Top Rookie Honors

With rain wreaking havoc with the final Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) events, the season is officially over.

The final Point Standings have been posted. G.W. Egbert IV is the 2018 STLMS Champion, while "Little" Robbie Starnes officially claimed the 2018 STLMS Rookie of the Year title.

October 10, 2018 - Jimmy Allard Friends and Family Classic Nixed by Mother Nature at Big O Speedway

Mother Nature has claimed her sixth and seventh wins of the 2018 season on the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS). Persistent rains throughout the week have forced the Jimmy Allard Friends and Family Classic at Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) to be postponed.

A reschedule date will hopefully be announced soon.

September 29, 2018 - G.W. Egbert Tops STLMS Competition at Big O Speedway

For the fifth time in 2018, G.W. Egbert IV took his Trakstar Super Late Model to Victory Lane on Saturday night with the Southern Texas Late Model Seires. His latest triumph came at Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas).

The tour now takes a one-week break before returning to Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) on Friday-Saturday, October 12-13 for a big, two-day event..

September 22, 2018 - I-37 Speedway Rained Out; Big O Speedway Up Next

Mother Nature has won another of our events. Despite the best efforts of track officials, they couldn't get the track ready for action at I-37 Speedway, so the race for Saturday, September 22 has been canceled.

We now are set for a big return to Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) on Saturday, September 29th.

September 15, 2018 - Big O Speedway Event Postponed; I-37 Speedway Up Next

Mother Nature wins again. We are rained out at Big O Speedway for tonight - Saturday, September 15. The staff tried all week to keep the facility on top shape, but the pits have too much water to get in and out.

We have rescheduled Big O Speedway for two weeks from now on Saturday, September 29th.

August 18, 2018 - Egbert IV and Warman Split Weekend STLMS Wins
1 The Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) rolled into West Texas Speedway (Lubbock, Texas) and Abilene Speedway (Abilene, Texas) over the weekend for a pair of mid-August events.

G.W. Egbert IV picked up the win on Friday night, while Ronnie Warman registered his first series victory of the season on Saturday night.

The tour now enjoys a break before returning to action on September 22 at I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas).

August 4, 2018 - Cody Leonard Completes Clean Sweep of STLMS Weekend
1 Cody Leonard broke out the broom in Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) action over the weekend by first winning on Friday night at RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas), and he backed it up by winning on Saturday night at the legendary Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas).

The tour now enjoys a one-week break before returning to action on August 17-18 with a doubleheader at West Texas Speedway (Lubbock, Texas) and Abilene Speedway (Abilene, Texas).

July 21, 2018 - Robbie Starnes Jr. Does It Again
1 For the second-time in 2018 Robbie Starnes Jr. raced to a victory with the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) on Saturday night.

The win came at Texana Speedway (Edna, Texas).

The Texas racer inherited the top spot late when leader Cody Leonard retired with mechanical issues.

The tour now turns its attention to a Texas doubleheader on August 3-4. On Friday, August 3 the tour will compete at RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) before invading Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) on Saturday, August 4.

July 13, 2018 - STLMS Weekend Rained Out
1 Unfortunately wet weather has forced RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) and Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) to cancel this weekend's (July 13-14) Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) events.

We'll now return to action on Saturday, July 21 with a trip to Texana Raceway Park (Edna, Texas).

June 30, 2018 - Brandon Brzozowski Wins at Grayson County Speedway
1 Brandon Brzozowski took the lead at the drop of the green flag on Saturday night at Grayson County Speedway and went on to race to his first series win of the 2018 campaign.

Not only did Brzozowski snap the three-race win streak by G.W. Egbert IV with the victory, but he also took over the STLMS point's lead

The STLMS will take a one-week break before resuming the campaign on July 13-14 with a doubleheader. Action opens on Friday night at RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) before moving to Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) on Saturday night.

June 2, 2018 - G.W. Egbert IV Stays Red Hot with Third-Straight STLMS Triumph
1 G.W. Egbert IV continued his stranglehold on Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) competition over the weekend by winning his third-straight series event.

His latest victory came on Saturday night at 105 Speedway (Cleveland, Texas), where he wired the field for the triumph.

The series will now take a three week break before returning to action at the end of June with a Texas doubleheader.

The STLMS returns to action at Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas) on Saturday, June 30.

May 19, 2018 - G.W. Egbert IV Breaks Out the Broom in STLMS Competition
1 G.W. Egbert IV broke out the broom over the weekend in Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) competition.

He opened the weekend on Friday night with a win at West Texas Raceway (Lubbock, Texas), and then he backed it up on Saturday night with a dominant victory at Abilene Speedway (Abilene, Texas).

The tour now takes a one-week break before traveling to 105 Speedway (Cleveland, Texas) on Saturday, June 2.

May 5, 2018 - Robbie Starnes Jr. Wins 2018 STLMS Opener
1 The 25-lap STLMS Main event was a tale of two races on Saturday night at I-37 Speedway. At the beginning it looked like Steven Whiteaker jr. would run away and hide from the field. Just past halfway Whiteaker clipped the front stretch wall ending his night. This handed the point over to the 2015 STLMS champ, Brandon Brzozowski on the restart.

Brzozowski was chased by young gun Cody Leonard making his Late Model debut in the series. Leonard used his track experience, changing his line to close on Brzozowski. As that duo ran up on slower traffic, another young gun, Robbie Starnes jr. was able run down both. On the final lap Starnes found some bite on the low side and snuck past Brzozowski at the line for his first ever win. >>Read More


April 14, 2018 - Rain Wins STLMS 2018 Lid Lifter
1Saturday's 2018 schedule opener for the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) at Cotton Bowl Speedway (Paige, Texas) has been canceled due to wet grounds at the facility.

October 7, 2017 - Daniel Wins the Battle; Egbert Wins the War
1Patrik Daniel stormed to the the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) win on Saturday night at Gator Motorplex (Wills, Texas). Daniels first series win of the season made him the seventh different victor in STLMS competition.

Meanwhile, G.W. Egbert IV clinched the series championship with his performance in the season finale.

September 23, 2017 - Sitton Scores I-37 Speedway Triumph
1Kevin Sitton wired the Southern Texas Late Model Series (STLMS) field on Saturday night at I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas) to pick up first-series triumph of 2017.

The tour has a single event remaining on the 2017 docket. On Saturday, October 7 Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas will welcome traveling stars and cars to town for a big shootout.
